3DOF - 3 Degrees of Freedom - refers to an IMU setup that offers a 3 axis gyro - roll, pitch and yaw

6DOF - 6 Degrees of Freedom - refers to an IMU setup that offers a 3 axis accelerometer in addition to the 3DOF gyro only setup and is what is needed for 'auto level' features of a flight control board

9DOF - 9 Degrees of Freedom - referes to a IMU setup that offer a 3 axis compass in addition to the 6DOF and offering the ability for heading hold

10DOF - 10 Degrees of Freedom - refers to an IMU setup that offers a barometer in adition to the 9DOF and offering the ability needed to acquire altitude hold

BEC - Battery Eliminator Circuitry - this is usually built into the ECS allowing the RX/IMU/MCU to be powered from the ESCs and no additonal batteries are necessary to power the on-board electronics

ECS - Electronic Speed Control

ACC - Accelerometer

CG / COG - Center of Gravity

COL - Center of Lift - The location on a craft where all the crafts thrust devices intersect, usually at CG / COG

I2C - Inter-Integrated Circuit data transmission - commonly used communication bus between the MCU and sensors.  Also referred to as '2 Wire Interface'

IMU - Inertial Measurement Unit - a term that refers to the Sensor Board

MCU - Microcontroller - the 'brains' of the flight board.  Takes in information from the sensors and from the programming on-board, outputs data to the ESCs for motor control

NK - Nunchuk from the Nintendo Wii gaming system (used in conjunction with the WM+ to create 6DOF from Wii components)

RX - Receiver - usually referring to the receiver for the control system

SCL - One of the two connections for the I2C bus - SCL is the clock line to synchronize the data transmission

SDA - One of the two connections for the I2C bus - SDA is the data line

TX - Transmitter - usally referring to the item you hold in your hands to control the craft

UBEC - Universal Battery Eliminator Circuit - an add on battey eliminator circuit, usually a switching power supply that is more efficient in reducing the higher incoming voltage to the lower outgoing voltage.

vRX - Video Receiver

tRX - Video Transmitter

WM+ - Wii Motion Plus from the Nintendo Wii gaming system (used as the 3axis accelerometer from Wii components)
